CASSESI GIVES BACK

As a proudly independent, local company, we believe in creating a positive and meaningful impact within our community. Since launching the Cassesi Gives Back program in 2022, we’ve had the privilege of donating over 1,000 books to local elementary schools and extending our support to food banks across the Greater New Orleans area.

In 2024, we were thrilled to partner with the Northshore Food Bank, where we donated 500 carefully wrapped children’s books to be included in meal boxes for families with children. Our hope was to not only expand our annual Christmas book donation but also to spread a little Christmas magic to children who deserve a present to unwrap and a warm meal during the holidays. Every child should feel the joy of the season, with both a full belly and a gift to call their own.

Cassesi was honored to support the Autism Society of Greater New Orleans as proud sponsors and active volunteers at their Autism Festival. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with families and children living with disabilities like autism, and we deeply valued the chance to engage with participants firsthand. Through heartfelt conversations and shared moments, we learned more about fostering inclusivity and creating spaces where community members with special needs can thrive. The experience was profoundly impactful and further strengthened our commitment to building a stronger, more compassionate community.

"When we say, 'It's more than just a building', we are usually referring to our responsibility to the client. As a local business, we have expanded on that concept, and we believe that we can be more than just a construction company. We want to make positive impacts within our local community that reach beyond construction.

As parents of three children, we wondered how a commercial construction company could make a difference in the lives of children during the holidays?

We remembered the book Construction Site on Christmas Night by Sherri Duskey Rinkerand the idea was born. We hope to continue to expand on this idea, while introducing kids to the construction industry.

Not every child receives a present on Christmas and if we can supply them with a wrapped present to open, and in many cases, gift a child their very first book, we feel very proud of that."

"Neurodivergent children bring a truly unique perspective to the world, seeing life through a lens filled with creativity and depth. They turn challenges into opportunities, uncovering beauty where others might overlook it.

With their passions and quirks, they remind us of all the different ways to experience life. Whether it's an obsession with trains, robots, or something unexpected, these interests open a window into their imaginations and endless possibilities.

I am so thankful for my son Knox, who has autism and is perfect just as he is. His laughter and spirit light up my world, and he shows me every day how amazing it is to see the world through his eyes.

I’m also grateful to be part of a company that is dedicated to giving back to the neurodivergent community, creating spaces for inclusion and spreading awareness. Together, we can continue to celebrate the incredible individuality and strength of these children, and build a world where every child is seen, heard, and loved for exactly who they are."
